Drip irrigation
PC or non-PC dripline: how to choose
Compare slope, length, pressure and uniformity before choosing dripline for a field block.
When to use this reference
Use this comparison when price per metre appears to be the only criterion even though terrain and length change pressure along the laterals. The goal is to separate confirmed project facts from commercial assumptions before comparing models or requesting a quotation.
Technical checks
PC emitters maintain flow within a pressure range and help on long lines or uneven ground. Non-PC products can suit short, flat and properly designed blocks. Record the source of every value and treat missing data as pending, never as a confirmed default.
- Measure slope and maximum lateral length.
- Define emitter spacing and flow.
- Calculate pressure at the start and end.
- Compare filtration and clogging risk.
